Anticipating Cross-Examination: Be Your Own "Rebuttal Expert"

Wednesday,September 2, 2015

10:30 a.m. Central time (CT) and 11:30 a.m. Eastern time (ET)

Program Description

Rebuttal expert witnesses are experts whose testimony “is intended solely to contradict or rebut evidence on the same subject matter identified by another party” according to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.

Being your own Rebuttal Expert is a continuous process and requires you to get your mind “out of the way.” The “questions” to be raised by “your” rebuttal expert will depend on your function as a plaintiff’s expert or defendant’s expert. The issues to be raised by “your” Rebuttal Expert will depend on the nature of the litigation and your expert report.

In other words, you need to learn to contradict yourself.
