Program Description

This webinar will focus on the interaction between the expert and retaining counsel for purposes of identifying the relevant documents, the timely request of production of documents, and the efficient management of the document discovery process relevant for the economic damages expert. The discussion will focus on identifying the most effective and efficient time for expert retention, the value of the expert in the process of preparation for deposition testimony of relevant parties, and the information that the expert is to provide retaining counsel for the proper and sufficient document request. The webinar will utilize a modified actual case example in a complex litigation matter to recognize the challenges of identifying the relevant documents, providing counsel with information for the effective request of documents, and the timing of the discovery for purposes of an effective and complete evaluation of damages. The webinar will include a discussion of examples of challenges when document production is critically incomplete and challenges when expert retention is delayed.
